About Me
Throughout my life, I have come to understand that discovering one’s true purpose and identity is a vital aspect of living. Being true to oneself is not only biblical, but it is also the key to achieving great success. One fundamental truth that I have always held onto is that each of us is uniquely and wonderfully made. Despite being part of a massive population, there is only one person like you. Even our thumbprints, which we all share, are distinct to each individual.
As a student at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, I wasn’t sure what direction my studies would take. I played soccer, took art classes, and business courses, which allowed me to be flexible with my passions and cultivate a multifaceted identity. After completing my Bachelor’s in Business Marketing, I started my own company. I was fortunate enough to experience the joy of capturing and coordinating weddings, which exposed me to different cultures, traditions, and family dynamics. It was a journey that inspired me to help others find their authentic selves in a world that doesn’t always value authenticity.
My occupational experiences also helped me in my therapeutic practice, where I help others find their path to self-discovery. After seven years in the business world, I decided to pursue counseling. My intuition has always been a source of inspiration for me, and my faith in the Holy Spirit has guided me to help others find their true selves. I earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling from Liberty University, where I developed a psychoanalytic and psychosocial approach. My belief is that every experience we have had in our past shapes who we are today. Our upbringing and family background, our beliefs, and our habits are all crucial factors in shaping our identity. Understanding how our past has influenced us can help us change our future.
I am now working towards a PhD in developmental psychology to further explore how our past experiences shape our present and future. I believe that our past is a blueprint to who we are today, and it’s essential to learn from it to achieve an authentic and fulfilling life.
