Thomas Cummings, PMHNP

Coming Soon - Thomas Cummings, PMHNP, ASAT-Candidate

Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck? You’re not alone. I help adults 22+ navigate life’s challenges through personalized, holistic psychiatric care. My approach integrates mental, emotional, spiritual, social, and physical health, ensuring that you receive well-rounded support tailored to your unique needs. While I have a strong passion for Men’s Mental Health, my practice is open to all adults seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and more. My goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free space where every individual can work toward mental wellness. I am currently in training as an Associate Sex Addiction Therapist Candidate.

Serving Lakewood, WA & Beyond If you’re looking for a psychiatric nurse practitioner for adults 18+ in Lakewood, WA, I offer in-person sessions at my local office and virtual care across Washington State. Convenient telepsychiatry services available for residents in Pierce County, Gig Harbor, Key Peninsula, Tacoma, and near Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Politics and religion: I recognize that many people seek care wanting to feel comfortable discussing their experiences without worrying that their political views will be judged or misunderstood. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I provide care that is clinically grounded, respectful, and focused on your mental health goals—not on promoting any social or political perspective. Individuals across the political spectrum are welcome.

My role is to listen carefully, think collaboratively, and offer evidence-based treatment in a setting where you can speak openly and be treated with professionalism and dignity. Your values and concerns help shape the work we do together.

As to faith, I believe that part of informed consent (as well as respectful, whole-person care) includes being transparent about the values that shape how we show up in the world. I personally hold a Christian faith, which informs my commitment to compassion, dignity, and ethical practice. I do not proselytize, and I do not impose my beliefs on patients. My approach is always patient-led: if spiritual or faith-related topics are important to you, I am comfortable incorporating them into care; if they are not, they need not be part of our work together.

I welcome and serve individuals of all faith backgrounds, as well as those who identify as atheist, agnostic, or non-religious. My priority is to provide a safe, respectful, and clinically sound environment.
