Daniel Pratt, PsyD

Hi, I'm Daniel

Helping you navigate from stormy seas to still waters

Finding the right fit for someone to talk to about your mental health can be a daunting task. The fact that you are reading a psychologist’s professional autobiography is a good sign: You are taking that difficult first step toward finding a professional that can help!

Hi, I’m Daniel. I am dedicated to providing compassionate and trustworthy mental healthcare in Washington State. I graduated with my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from Wheaton College in 2014 and I have been practicing as a Licensed Psychologist in Washington State since 2015. While I consider myself a generalist, I specialize in providing individual psychotherapy to adults 18 and older. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Object-Relations Psychodynamic Theory in my work. What does that mean? It means that I listen very carefully, help place your concerns in context, and then provide you a sense of direction. Sometimes therapists jump too quickly to give advice. I don’t. This therapeutic process unfolds together in a collaborative professional relationship where I will: 1) Connect, 2) Reflect, and then 3) Direct.

If you are interested and willing, I have specialized training and experience in helping patients understand how their spiritual and religious beliefs shape how they see and interact with the world around them. Whether you are full of faith or doubt, I can help you sort through the chaos and increase your understanding of your experience.

Access to compassionate mental healthcare is deeply important to me! My practice accepts insurance, and is currently in-network with Aetna, First Choice, Kaiser, LifeWise, Medicare, Pacific Source, Premera, Providence, and Wellfleet, with more being added regularly!

I have also partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Check out Mentaya’s benefits check tool here: https://mentaya.com/checkbenefits/OON_BENEFIT_CHECK

If you don’t have insurance, or would prefer to not use insurance, I am able to provide a limited number of clients a sliding scale fee to serve you in your time of financial need.

I look forward to any questions you have about my practice!
