Sandra Golling, MA, LMFTA

I have had a desire to help hurting people from a very young age. I have also always had an interest in both theology and psychology. I attended Multnomah University right after high school with the intention of serving in youth ministry in some way. I graduated from Multnomah with a double major in biblical and theological studies. I served in college ministries, youth ministries, and children’s ministries in the church throughout my young adult years. After I married my husband, he worked as a pastor, and together we provided pre-marriage, marriage, and crisis counseling in a church setting for twenty years. We also provided in-home care for foster children for ten years. These experiences helped me to grow in skills and knowledge and challenged me to serve people in other ways. After trying out careers in corrections and teaching I realized that I had more to give but I needed to further my education. So, I went back to school again and earned a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. My desire is to provide a thoroughly Christian model of therapy to individuals that addresses not only emotional and psychological needs but spiritual needs as well in a wholistic and integrated way. Through my educational experience and my counseling internship experience I have found that counseling people and assisting them through the process of healing and growth is my passion and the task that I was designed for. I look forward to each unique person that I will work with in the future.
