V&BC Sandra Golling, MA, LMFTA Spiritual Abuse

Sandra Golling is a licensed counselor (LMFTA) who has worked with countless individuals, pastors, and Christian leaders who have been impacted by spiritual abuse. She and her husband, John, have served in pastoral roles in churches for over 25 years. She helps participants and Christian leaders from a wide variety of backgrounds to navigate the complex world of spiritual abuse with compassion, understanding, and deep theological reflection.

She will be helping participants wrestle with questions such as:

What is spiritual abuse?

How does spiritual abuse impact a person’s relationships and mental health?

What is church hurt, and how does it affect a person’s life, spirituality, and emotional wellbeing?

How do I know if I have experienced spiritual abuse?

How do I heal from spiritual abuse and church hurt?

How can pastors and Christian leaders identify the signs of spiritual abuse?

What steps can pastors take to help people heal from church hurt?

How can pastors and Christian leaders protect members from spiritual abuse or church hurt?

What are some biblical principles to protect against spiritual abuse?

What are the practices of a congregation that create a culture of healing?
